OSCE experts are coming to Lithuania

On May 30, experts from the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) are visiting the Central Electoral Commission. The purpose of the visit is to evaluate the organisation of the Elections of the President of the Republic and make recommendations.

Election Assessment Mission consists of: Ambassador Albert Jonsson; Deputy Head of Mission Martina Barker; Election Analyst Adeline Elise Emilie Marquis; Legal Analyst Elissavet Karagiannidou; Media Analyst Pietro Tesfamariam Berhane; ODIHR Procurement and Training Officer Mišo Imamovič.

The OSCE representatives plan to evaluate Elections of the President of the Republic, as well as assess whether the Republic of Lithuania has implemented the recommendations that the OSCE provided during previous election assessment missions.
