Nearly 69 percent of polling stations are adapted for people with disabilities

in 2018 the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), the Lithuanian Municipal Association and the Lithuanian Disability Forum signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of the Elections.

By memorandum it was decided that in the Elections of 2019, at least 50 percent of polling stations shall be adapted for people with disabilities or elderly voters. Municipalities have reviewed their premises and most of those that are not accessible to people with disabilities, have been changed or adapted if possible.

Currently, nearly 69 percent of polling stations are adapted for people with disabilities.
