On The Global Elections Day the discussion about voter activity

For celebrating the Global Election Day, the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Lithuania (CEC) has organized a round table discussion on "Low voter turnout rates: Is it possible to change it?" in the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.

On The Global Elections Day the discussion about voter activity

The members of the Parliament and the CEC, representatives of political parties and academic society, voters have taken part in this discussion.
Citizens make the future of the country. Many things depend on citizens. Citizen's participation is a process which provides private individuals an opportunity to influence public decisions and to be a component of the democratic decision-making process. Unfortunately, just a part of voters uses their right to vote. The discussion has focused on the ways to encourage people to vote.
