Information Phone Service 1855

The Central Electoral Commission organises Call Service 1855, which provides information about the procedures of the Election for voters. The phone line will be operating since 27th of April 2009 and will be open until 7th of June 2009. Call service will be provided from 8 a.m. till 10 p.m. For calling 1855 you can use these operators: Bitė, Omnitel, Tele2, TEO.

The calls to 1855 are answered and information by phone is provided by UAB ‘Lintel' (Information and Service centre).

The Information provided by the phone
The voter will be answered such questions as:

  • In which polling district voter's certificate is issued;
  • In which polling district the voter should vote;
  • Where and when shall the voter vote if he is gone on the voting days;
  • How to vote if the voter is ill and is not able to go the polling district on the voting days;
  • How to contact with the committee of the electoral constituency or the polling district, their address, working hours;
  • How the voter can take early voting, etc.

The service conditions
If the voter needs to specify information about his/her entrance on the electoral roll, the voter will be asked to notify his/her personal code, first name and surname. Only after fulfilling this condition, the voter will be informed about his/her polling district, the number of voter certificate, etc. Information is provided under the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data, therefore it is forbidden to proclaim the address of the voter. Only the caller himself might notify his address, when he wants to find out if he is really entered on the electoral roll using the correct address of place of residence, etc. This service is provided in Lithuanian and Russian languages.

Registration of complaints
A voter may also dial 1855 and report that he/she has not received a voter certificate at the voter's declared place of residence, or inform about other violations of the Elections' order.
